The Oregon Environmental Claims Mediation Program was developed to help insurers and policyholders achieve a fair and efficient resolution of environmental claims disputes. Senate Bill 814 (2013) established the program, amending the Oregon Environmental Cleanup Assistance Act and directing the Department of Justice to adopt rules and select a "Mediation Service Provider". After a competitive process, the Department selected Mediation Case Manager (MCM) as the Mediation Service Provider to administer the program per the program rules.
